ALTERNATIVE PROVISION
Educreate's fashion and textiles provision gives young people hands-on experience in sewing, design, and upcycling, building practical creative skills in a structured environment outside mainstream education. Delivered by practitioners with real-world industry experience in fashion and specialist expertise in SEN and SEMH needs, sessions are adapted to each student's starting point and pace.
What Makes Our Street Art Provision Different
Industry-Experienced Tutors
Fashion and textiles is not part of the standard school curriculum. Our tutors bring direct experience from careers within the fashion industry, giving students access to real-world skills and perspectives that mainstream education cannot offer. From sewing and design basics to experimenting with fabrics, patterns, and upcycling, students develop practical, transferable skills alongside confidence and creative identity. Sessions are available on a 1:1 or small group basis.
Arts Award (Trinity College London)
We offer Arts Award at Bronze, Silver, and Gold levels through our fashion and textiles provision, delivered through personalised 1:1 and small group sessions. Each level provides a nationally recognised qualification that builds creative skills, develops confidence, and generates a tangible sense of achievement. Gold Arts Award carries UCAS tariff points, supporting progression into higher education.

Who This Is For
Our fashion and textiles programmes are particularly well suited to young people who are drawn to making, designing, and working with their hands, and who benefit from seeing a tangible outcome from their creative work. We support students aged 12 to 25 experiencing social, emotional, or mental health challenges; at risk of exclusion or disengagement; or not currently accessing school-based education. Fashion and textiles provision is available for students in SEN schools, mainstream schools, and community settings across Milton Keynes and Bedfordshire.
