ALTERNATIVE PROVISION
Educreate's music provision combines professional studio access, RSL graded qualifications, and Arts Award pathways to give young people a structured, accredited route back into learning through music. Programmes are delivered by practitioners with specialist experience in SEN and SEMH needs, adapted to each student's starting point and pace.
What Makes Our Music Provision Different
Professional Studio Access
At Educreate, students have access to professional rehearsal and recording facilities across three locations: Brooklands, Central Milton Keynes, and Leighton Buzzard. This environment sits outside the mainstream school setting by design, providing a purposeful, creative space that supports re-engagement with structured learning. Sessions are available on a 1:1 or small group basis.
Arts Award (Trinity College London)
We offer Arts Award at Bronze, Silver, and Gold levels, delivered through personalised 1:1 and small group sessions. Each level provides a nationally recognised qualification that builds creative skills, develops confidence, and generates a tangible sense of achievement. Gold Arts Award carries UCAS tariff points, supporting progression into higher education.
RSL Music Grading (Rockschool)
Through our partnership with 22 Music School in Leighton Buzzard, students can work towards RSL graded qualifications across vocals, songwriting, guitar, bass, drums, piano and keys, music production, and performance. We support students at every level, including those working towards Grade 8, the highest level of RSL grading, which opens doors to further education and careers in the creative industries.

What Students Can Study
Our music provision covers a wide range of disciplines, allowing each young person to pursue the area of music that genuinely engages them. Current areas of study include:

Sessions are structured around each student's starting point and interests, whether they are picking up an instrument for the first time or developing existing skills towards a graded qualification.

Who This Is For
Our music programmes are particularly well suited to young people who have a natural interest or existing connection to music, whether or not they have had formal training. We support students aged 12 to 25 experiencing social, emotional, or mental health challenges; at risk of exclusion or disengagement; or not currently accessing school-based education. Music provision is available for students in SEN schools, mainstream schools, and community settings across Milton Keynes and Bedfordshire, and surrounding areas.
